BMW 118i F20 Airbag & Seat Belt Igniter Mechanism Replacement
Remember, last month we posted about a client who had bumped their BMW 118i (F20) into a wall and couldn’t move their car?
Well here are further photos showing the resultant damage and the required repairs needed to get the vehicle fully operational again. The collision caused the airbag computer system to deploy the airbag as well as causing the seatbelt igniter to ignite to tension the belt to keep the passengers safe.
The curtain airbags on the passenger side needed to be replaced. This required the roof lining and trim to be first removed and reinstalled.
Also, the seat belt igniter mechanism needed to be replaced.
