Turbo Recon After Repair Failure at Another Workshop
Previous to contacting GP Motor Works, this client had taken their BMW 320d F30 to another workshop to have the turbo repaired.
The previous workshop had applied silicon sealant to the turbo to fix the oil leak but failed to find the root cause of the turbo’s lack of performance.
The turbo was leaking oil from the oil feed pipes as well as an internal leak to the boost pipes. We removed the turbo and it was repaired and reconditioned. The turbo was refitted to the engine and we replaced all the oil and the return pipes.
We then conducted an oil service and replaced the oil filter. The intercooler was cleaned and the catalytic converter was checked.
This was followed by carrying out diagnostic tests to ensure the turbo was operating correctly.
If you suspect your turbo is not functioning as it should get in touch with us immediately.
